CIEE Summer Engineering, Technology + Society in Dublin, Ireland
Given the world renowned landscape in Ireland and its relationship to tourism, a debate has emerged about the use of renewable sources of energy that affect the environment. Conversely, sustainable solutions are required to provide electricity, water, and waste disposal to the country. In this new short-term program, you will examine the engineering aspects of creating and executing renewable and sustainable projects. Whether your interest is in sustainable energy or electrical engineering, studying abroad in Dublin gives motivated students like you a chance to experience one of the most beautiful and culturally rich countries in the world while pursuing your degree.
Study abroad in Dublin and you'll:
- Understand the real world costs, both financial and in terms of the wider community, of renewable sources of energy
- Visit wind-farms, hydro-electrical facilities, and energy laboratories with guides providing expertise on the building, maintenance, and operation of these facilities
- Gain insight into the issue of energy in Ireland, its impact on the community, and an overview of Ireland historically and in a contemporary context
